Cusco

Cusco was not just the capital of the Inca Empire, it was considered the absolute center of centers and navel vortex of the world. It was the point from which every sacred site of the Incas was built in relation to and left behind an incredible heritage of ancient archaeological sites scattered around the city and in the outskirts one of which being Sacsayhuaman. Cusco was built in the shape of a puma with important archaeological site Sacsayhuaman forming its head meaning that it was a place of cosmic divine consciousness. In town you can enjoy the colonial architecture, beautiful squares and visit the Qorikancha, one of the most sacred temples to the Incas which was built perfectly in the center of Cusco and meaning the temple of the sun.
