Itinerary

We will go to your hotel or place to stay in Cusco, or we can go to Masters home in the north of Cusco (Chinchero). Another option is to do the ceremony online via video call by What’s app or zoom. The ceremony starts with an opening prayer where the local Master will call the higher spirit of Mama Coca and Pachamama to help him/her to be the intermedium between the spiritual world and this reality. Then the ceremony starts with choosing the coca leaves for the lecture and we will start with the coca reading oracle. The ceremony is personal and private if you speak English or other languages you will have a spiritual Master guide to help you.

THE READING: Before the reading begins, the Master invokes the guidance of the spirits of the land, ensuring that the leaves fall in a manner that accurately guides the reading. After three deep breaths, the shaman drops the leaves, interpreting their arrangement to address any inquiries you may have. From matters of love and family to healing processes, work decisions, and spiritual paths, the possibilities are limitless. Think big and be generous with yourself.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: In Peru, the coca leaf holds a rich history, revered by many as much as gold. The Incas valued coca for its medicinal properties and integral role in sacred ceremonies. Cultivated in South America for nearly 8,000 years, the coca leaf holds deep cultural significance. Legend tells of Kuka, a beautiful woman whose sacrifice gave rise to the miraculous coca plant, honoring her legacy and importance in Inca culture.

CULTURAL PRACTICE: Today, coca leaves are known for their ability to relieve altitude sickness among tourists, while locals incorporate them into various aspects of daily life. Whether chewed or brewed into tea, coca leaves play a vital role in celebrations, ceremonies, and religious practices. Traces of coca leaves have been found in ancient mummies, underscoring their enduring cultural significance.
