Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1
Cusco – Humantay Lake – Cusco
Route: Cusco → Humantay Lake
After breakfast, we will make our way to the sacred Humantay Lake. This pilgrimage has been undertaken since ancient times when medicine men or women journeyed to the Salkantay mountain at least once in their lifetime to reconnect with ancestral lineages and the wild energy known as Salka. After a brief rest, we will prepare to begin the trek upwards, passing through breathtaking landscapes surrounded by majestic mountains. You will be awestruck by the panoramic view of the turquoise lake at 4,200 meters (13,779 feet) near an impressive glacier. Afterward, we will return to Soraypampa, where our staff will be waiting with lunch. We will then head back to Cusco, arriving around 6 p.m.
