Itinerary

May 20Th

Welcome to Cusco! transfer to Sacred Valley; Introductory Meeting

Our journey begins in Cusco, where we will be met at the airport and transferred directly to the Sacred Valley. On the way, we will gather for our Welcome Lunch featuring traditional Peruvian cuisine. By coming down in altitude and starting your journey in the Sacred Valley, we will feel refreshed, energized, and ready for the days ahead. Once settled into your beautiful hotel, you will have an introductory meeting to go over all the exciting activities we have planned for your journey. We will also enjoy a short Welcome Ceremony involving a clearing of the personal energy field and reconnecting with the Andean spirits.

May 21St

Andean Cosmovision and Traditional Andean Healing Arts

Today, feeling refreshed after a relaxing night at our hotel, we continue our energy work with ceremonies and healing rituals. Our team will discuss Andean Cosmovision and traditional Andean Healing Arts, guiding us through rituals of welcoming and reconnecting with the ancestral spirits of the Andes.

This full day of energy work will allow us to feel fully immersed in ancestral traditions and deepen our connection to our inner self as well as the land we are visiting. We will also learn about the concepts of Nogan Kani and Ayni, the latter being a fundamental aspect of Andean Cosmovision that allows us to better understand the unique reciprocal relationship the Andean peoples have with the earth. By understanding that love is always a reciprocal relationship (love for people, nature, the planet), we can reassess our relationships and how we treat ourselves and the world around us.

May 23Rd

Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu

After breakfast we will take our transport to Ollantaytambo, known as The Sanctuary of the Wind, an ancient observatory and ceremonial centre set amongst impressive hillside terraces. Visit the Temple of the Sun and also the Royal Baths and Fountains for a shamanic energy experience where we will connect with the elements of earth, water, air, and fire. We then make our way along the murmuring river to the Temple of the Condor for a few moments of reflection and silent meditation.

In the afternoon after lunch we will journey on to Ollantaytambo train station, and enjoy a scenic train ride along the Urubamba River to the charming village of Aguas Calientes, or Machu Picchu Pueblo as it is now called. After checking into our hotel, you will have time to rest.

May 24Th

Machu Picchu…!!

After breakfast, we make our way by bus to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu for our spiritual awakening. This Cristal Condor sacred site is an inspiring and beautiful place, an architectural wonder, and a great testament to the Incan Civilization. Once used primarily as an astronomical Observatory and place of pilgrimage, Machu Picchu now attracts thousands of visitors each year to connect with the sacred energies and ancient wisdom. Because it sits within three corresponding high peaks of power, which create an energy triangle, it is a perfect spot to sit and meditate, focus your intent, and expand your awareness.

In the afternoon, we go to the Aguas Calientes train station and enjoy a scenic train ride along the Urubamba River to the hotel in Sacred Valley.

DAY 4 Machupicchu

May 25Th

Quillarumiyoq & Wachuma

After breakfast, we will travel from Sacred Valley and cross the broad Anta Valley. In this quintessential agricultural region, we see small villages of adobe houses with thatched or red-tiled roofs, fields of grain, and herds of cattle. Leaving the main road, we will visit the Incan archaeological site of Quillarumiyoc, also known as the Temple of the Moon. This religious center contains walls, buildings, fountains, and its centerpiece, the Moonstone, a limestone boulder with a bas-relief of the moon found only here. At Quillarumiyoc, several ancient Inca trails are in excellent walking condition. We will explore the Quillarumiyoc caves, where the Incas carved and captured their representative knowledge of the ancestral spiritual ideology. Continuing the visit, we will explore the temple of the Quillarumiyoc water priest, featuring polygonal imperial Inca architecture and a mini-waterfall where we will cleanse, purify, and free the mind, putting it in a state of relaxation. The Quillarumiyoc Moon Temple is shaped like a crescent, containing the staggering sign of three levels representing the Inca trilogy. It is oriented towards the dawn to observe the solar projections, functioning as an astronomical and spiritual calendar by emanating feminine energy.

Today, we also have our first optional opportunity to work with San Pedro (Wachuma). San Pedro is a powerful and sacred – yet gentle – “teacher and healer” plant traditionally used to heal the heart in times of extreme pain and emotional hurt. It is important to work with this medicine as part of a sacred ceremony and with the protection of the ancestral spirits.

Continue to Cusco in the afternoon.

May 26Th

Explore Cusco

After breakfast, we begin with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, where we will marvel at this architectural wonder and learn about the mystery and legends of how this stone-walled complex was constructed. Next, we will guide you through a rebirth process in a nearby cave of the Cosmic Mother, also known as the Womb of Mother Earth. We then continue to Tambomachay, a favorite resting place of the Incas, commonly referred to as the «Baños del Inca» or «Baños de la Ñusta» (Baths of the Incas or Baths of the Princess). This site, once used for ritual bathing, is believed to be a temple dedicated to the worship of water.

At the Temple of the Condor, we will participate in a private Andean Initiation Ceremony to connect with the ancestral lineages. Connect with the sacred trilogy of the Incas – the Puma, Serpent, and Condor – and learn about what the Incan elders believed regarding parallel dimensions. After visiting other sacred temples around the mountain, we return to the city of Cusco for a city tour and to immerse ourselves in the smiles and laughter of the local people. Later, we visit Coricancha, one of the most revered temples, dedicated to the Sun God, whose walls and floors were once covered in sheets of solid gold. Wander the courtyard, which was once filled with golden statues.

May 27Th

Cusco – Pacchanta – Ausangate

After breakfast today, we will leave Cusco in the morning for a scenic three-hour journey in private transport to the small village of Pacchanta (3,800 meters / 12,464 feet). Along the way, we will stop to visit the Sistine Chapel of Cusco, passing through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages such as Urcos, Cattca, and Ocangate. The first three hours on the road are a wonderful prelude to the stunning scenery of the Cordillera Vilcanota, with breathtaking views of Ausangate.

We will spend the night at the hot springs in Pacchanta (4,400 meters / 14,432 feet), where you can enjoy incredible views of Ausangate at the end of the valley.

May 28Th

Pacchanta – Otorongo – Ausangate

We will begin our day with a special breakfast before embarking on our journey toward the sacred lagoons of Apu Ausangate. As we walk the paths of the ancestors, we will be accompanied by Mama Coca, arriving at the Apacheta (a sacred pass between two mountains or valleys). Here, we will make offerings to the various Apus and Mamacocha, asking for their blessings and welcome into their sacred home. We will also share the sacred leaves in this sacred space.

Next, we will descend to the sacred lagoons of Otorongo Cocha and Ancash Cocha, where we will purify our bodies and spirits, allowing ourselves to become as clear and pure as the snows of Apu Ausangate. Finally, we will return to the community of Pacchanta, where a delicious lunch awaits us. Afterward, we will have the opportunity to appreciate some beautiful textile works crafted by the local artisans.

May 30Th

Ausangate – Cusco

After breakfast we will visit Lucio’s temple and from this altar, we will say goodbye to Master Ausangate. After lunch we will return to Cusco.

May 31St

Transfer to the airport to Cusco and return home

Transfer to the airport at the appropriate time for your flight home. Return home energized, with clarity, and a deep sense of well-being as you say goodbye to this sacred land that has offered the power of true healing. You will return with new friendships and fond, enduring memories that will last a lifetime.

Puma adventures making the impossible possible!

“To have custom care on a visit to Peru with sacred sites and shamans that were very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. They took time to find a place that I could go because I am compromised with breathing issues. They were able to make my dreams come true with ease and grace. Beautiful family, beautiful company highly recommend it. They took time to listen and care something. You can’t find often a beautiful place to stay. Their care of making breakfast in the morning and making sure we have hot water throughout the evening was very nice and thoughtful.”

More Than a Tour

“The tour guides made this trip! There was far more to this adventure than the sites, though the sites were powerful. Along with Puma, Rebi and Neliba shared their experiences and led ceremonies snd rituals from the heart. The energies were often palpable. The accommodations were exceptional. Some participants had the energy to find time to enjoy the evenings in social gatherings. If you are highly affected by the energies and experiences you may wish to spend time assimilating.”

Life Changing

“Last year through Sacred Journeys, we met Puma and his family of medicine teachers. Since then we've been studying with his school and decided to go back this fall. We arranged our own tour with two of our good friend (they had an Andean wedding). The love, the intention, the teachings are incredible. I can't recommend strongly enough going on a trip with Puma Adventures. Life-changing!”

Exceeded our expectations in every way!

“Our trip with PumaAdventures exceeded our expectations in every way. Puma and his excellent team took us on an amazing journey of ancestral knowledge, sacred sites, local customs, and spiritual guidance, in a deep and meaningful way that we would have never accomplished on our own. He and his team are professional, organized, and efficient, but also kind, compassionate, generous, openhearted and living lives of teaching and service. This trip was an extraordinary journey - mentally, physically, and spiritually. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Do it for yourself!”

The Puma Adventures family is awesome

“We just completed our 6th pilgrimage over 8 years with the Puma Adventure family in February 2026. Again it was an outstanding experience over our 12 day retreat and 3 days up at apu Ausangate. It was a big group we brought this time but the Puma team were prepared for everything and it went flawlessly. Our primary guides of Alfredo, Miguel, and Magally did an amazing job picking us up everyday at the retreat centre and guiding our crew through all the beautiful sites of the Sacred Valley and up into the mountains. Always supported by the kind friendly drivers and the support team of Rebellino, Puma and Jimmy. Always a joy to partner with this beautiful family and know that we are in goods hands as were journey through Peru.”

The travel adventure is a perfect mix of experiencing the magical sites Peru has to offer, the guides are very knowledgeable, and each daily excursion offers exquisite and authentic shopping (supporting small business), as well as glorious meals. Shaman Puma and his family also offer a humbling and truly touching insight into their traditions and how to live in ceremony every day. This trip and visit to Peru will change your life!”

Being in the presence of Puma Fredy's awesomeness!

“Being in the presence of Puma Fredy's love and wisdom was the most important thing to me. Also being in the sacred land of Peru, sitting with medicine, meeting the other healers such as Mama Irene and don Sebastian. Listening to the music of Tito de la Rosa. Being with the amazing Shift Network team that include the guides Odon, Nelida and Rebelino, etc. Listening to Ali Maya, Lindsay Wise, Dr. Dan and Dr. Chris. All of this was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life! Also meeting the other like-minded participants who I've made relationships with. And last but not least, learning about myself!!”

Outstanding!!! Pumadventures is the most professional…

“Pumadventures is the most professional tour operating business I’ve ever experienced. Around 100 peoples needs needed to be met and they went above and beyond to look after our needs. They had enough guides to lead smaller groups and these guides were very knowledgeable especially Odon, the leader of my small group. PA is a really close family group and they all made us feel welcomed, safe and they really looked after our well being.”
