Pumadventures Peru Tours wishes for you to travel with 100% satisfaction and success. The following conditions will be your contract with Pumadventures Peru Tours, so please take some time and make sure to read them carefully. When you book a trip with us, you automatically agree to these Terms and Conditions that outline our various policies, including cancellations, postponement and liability. These conditions affect your rights and establish the governing law and forum for resolving any disputes that may arise.
From the date of your first inquiry, your given quote will be valid for 30 days. For any questions about your journey, booking procedures or conditions of sale, please contact us as we are more than happy to help you! Quotes do not apply to any transport you might need to arrive at the tour start location or depart from the tour end location. For flights that we cover, flight prices are constantly changing so once a flight has been quoted, it must be purchased and paid for on that day to ensure the validity of the quote.
Our prices do not include international and domestic flights to and from South America, international airport taxes, meals not specified in the itinerary, personal expenses, tips, travel insurance and medical insurance.
To secure a booking with Pumadventures Peru Tours, the Client must deposit 30% of the price of the entire trip with a minimum of US $300. All flights, both domestic and international, must be paid for 100% in advance to secure the booking. For all Trek packages and Spiritual Retreats, we require a 50% deposit. Deposits are non-refundable and clients booking by phone or email will be deemed to have already read and agreed to the booking conditions.
The booking is accepted and definite from the date Pumadventures Peru Tours receives the deposit from the client. At this point a binding contract between Pumadventures Peru Tours and the Client is made.
The contract will be between Pumadventures Peru Tours and the Client, including all persons named on the booking form. The signer of the booking form warrants that they have full authority on behalf of all the persons on the form and confirms that all such persons are aware of and accept the conditions.
The full due balance must be paid to Pumadventures Peru Tours latest 45 days prior to departure. In case of non-payment of the balance by the due date, Pumadventures Peru Tours will treat the booking as a cancellation by the Client.
If the booking is made within 45 days of the departure date, the full amount of the package must be paid at once.
Payments can either be made by wire transfer or direct deposit. In case of bank transfers, all wiring and transfer costs should be assumed by the Client.
All prices are in the United States of America Dollar.
Our prices do not include Peruvian sales taxes. Those exempt from paying this tax must meet the legal standards. For an exemption from the IGV (general sales tax) the visitor (guest) must prove that they meet the international treaty standards honored in Peru by showing a passport, driver’s license or national identification card. Please note that visitors who have stayed in Peru longer than 60 days are no longer exempt from IGV. Please make sure that all your identification documents are legible. Note that the TAM (Andina migration card) cannot substitute a passport.
The final payment must be paid 45 days prior to departure. If you have a local payment scheduled, it must be received by Pumadventures Peru Tours in full USD cash upon arrival. If the local payment is not made, Pumadventures Peru Tours will cancel your booking and cancellation charges will apply. This local payment is considered part of your total tour payment and is non-refundable.
Any changes to the original booking must be confirmed by the signer of the booking form. For any changes by the Client to the itinerary, including changes to travel dates, after receiving a confirmed travel program from Pumadventures Peru Tours may be subject to additional fees or tariff charges. Please note that, while every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate changes and additional requests, their availability cannot be guaranteed.
If any member of your party is prevented from traveling, it may be possible to transfer the booking to another suitable person provided that written notice is given at least 30 days prior to departure. An administration fee of US $50 will be levied along with any additional costs imposed by Pumadventures Peru Tours.
The Client can cancel the booking at any time, provided that a written cancellation is communicated to Pumadventures Peru Tours. The deposit paid for the reservation of the trip is non-refundable and payments for flights and Inca Trail are non-refundable due to airline and operator policies. Canceled reservation fees are calculated according to time between the date of written cancellation notice and date of departure:
If part of a booking is canceled, the remaining party may have to pay additional charges (for example for under-occupancy or single room supplements). In cases of trip postponement, an administration fee of 30% of the trip price will be charged in addition to the amount already invested in non-refundable subcontracted services. The remaining amount of the total price of the trip may be used towards future travel with Pumadventures Peru Tours.
While Pumadventures Peru Tours always attempts with full commitment to operate all tours as advertised, the Client accepts that it may prove necessary or advisable to modify a tour itinerary and its contents due to prevailing local conditions. Pumadventures Peru Tours reserves the right to cancel or change any of the facilities, services and prices (including flights, accommodation and other arrangements) at any time and to substitute with alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value without compensation and accept no liability as a result of these changes.
If a major change is known to us at the time of booking, the Client will be informed immediately. If a major change becomes necessary after booking, Pumadventures Peru Tours will inform the Client as soon as reasonably possible.
When a major change occurs, the client will have the choice of whether to accept the change of arrangements, to purchase any other available tour or to cancel the tour. This is providing that the major change is not caused by a force majeure such as war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activities, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes imposed by cancellation or rescheduling of flights by an airline, the alteration of airline or aircraft type, or other similar events beyond the control of Pumadventures Peru Tours.
Pumadventures Peru Tours is not liable for any changes beyond their control to the departure time or date of a tour; or flight or other form of transport.
In case of a price increase of less than 2% of the total package, Pumadventures Peru Tours will absorb the increase. If the increase is more than 2%, the Client will be charged the difference.
It is the Client’s responsibility to have a valid passport, visa permit and medical papers required by the authorities of the visited country for the duration of the tour. Information about these matters or related items may be given, but without responsibility on the part of Pumadventures Peru Tours.
All Clients are expected to assess their physical fitness in terms of the requirements of the itinerary prior to booking. Travelers with pre-existing medical conditions are advised to check with a healthcare professional before traveling.
No unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 can be accepted on tours operated by Pumadventures Peru Tours. Older teenagers may be considered provided that they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who accepts full responsibility for the minor.
The Client has the responsibility to provide the correct and true information about them in the booking form and send a photo of their passport that is valid 6 months after the end of the trip. If the Client lied, hid any information, or similar, Pumadventures Peru Tours has the right to deny the service without any refund.
Pumadventures Peru Tours reserves the right to decline a booking at their discretion. Clients must agree to accept the authority and decisions of the employees of Pumadventures Peru Tours. If in the opinion of Pumadventures Peru Tours, the health or conduct of a Client appears to endanger the safe and happy progress of the tour, the client may be excluded from part or all of the tour. In case of illness, Pumadventures Peru Tours may make arrangements in the interest of the Client’s health, to be reimbursed afterwards by the Client for medical attention.
All participants in tours operated by Pumadventures Peru Tours are expected to obey the laws and regulations of the country visited and any failure to do so will relieve Pumadventures Peru Tours of all obligations of booking conditions.
Anyone suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare it at the time of booking to make arrangements for the provisions of medication or any other treatment which may be needed during the tour. Failure to disclose such information will constitute a breach of the booking conditions and result in the person being excluded from the tour and having to pay 100% of the total price of tour as forfeit.
If a Client has a complaint about any tour arrangements, they must bring it to the attention of the tour leader or a representative from Pumadventures Peru Tours at the appropriate time so that they may use their best endeavors to rectify the situation. Only if Pumadventures Peru Tours are made aware of any problems do they have the opportunity to improve on the situation. Making a complaint known to Pumadventures Peru Tours as soon as a problem arises during your trip allows them to remedy the situation or facilitate a form of compensation. Should the problem remain unresolved, a written complaint must be made to Pumadventures Peru Tours within 28 days of the completion of the tour.
Pumadventures will always do its best to ensure that all flight prices are correct at the time of quotation. Airlines reserve the right to amend or withdraw fares without prior notice and once a deposit has been paid on an airfare, it guarantees the booking and spot but does not guarantee the fare. The fare is only guaranteed once the flight booking has been paid in full and the ticket has been issued. Flight bookings are non-transferrable.
The flight times and details of airlines given by Pumadventures Peru Tours are only for general guidance and are subject to change. Up-to-date flight times will be confirmed and shown on the tickets. The Client is responsible for checking the ticket information upon reception. Pumadventures Peru Tours will inform the client as soon as possible in the event of changes in flight plan. Alterations in flight schedule and airlines do not constitute a significant change to the itinerary and are therefore not reason for cancellation.
Pumadventures Peru Tours is not responsible for any flight delays.
Pumadventures Peru Tours does not provide travel insurance; however, we highly recommend the Client to get it and it is their full responsibility to do so.
