Ayahuasca Ceremony — 1 Day
A guided nighttime Ayahuasca ceremony in Cusco’s Sacred Valley, led by an ancestral Andean shaman. Includes transportation, preparation talk, ceremony with icaros (healing songs), and morning integration circle.
Andean ceremonies, plant medicine, and deep healing — guided by the same family of shamans who have tended this land for generations. In the valley the Incas considered the center of the world.
A Sacred Valley spiritual retreat in Peru is an immersive healing experience that takes place in the Andean valley between Cusco and Machu Picchu — the land the Inca considered the energetic center of their empire. Participants work with experienced Andean shamans through plant medicine ceremonies (Ayahuasca, San Pedro), Earth offerings (Despacho, Pachamama), and ancestral healing practices rooted in the Q’ero and Shipibo traditions.
Unlike wellness retreats in Bali or Costa Rica, a Sacred Valley retreat holds you within a living landscape that has been used for ceremony for over 1,000 years. The Apus — sacred mountain spirits — are not metaphor here. They are named, honored, and present in every ceremony.
PumAdventures has been guiding retreats in this valley from its home in Chinchero since 2013. Every ceremony is shaped by three principles: safety (thorough screening, small groups), authenticity (lineage-trained shamans, no staged experiences), and integration (the healing continues after the ceremony ends).
Each experience is guided by lineage-trained shamans and adapted to your intention. All ceremonies include preparation guidance, health screening, and post-ceremony integration support.
A guided nighttime Ayahuasca ceremony in Cusco’s Sacred Valley, led by an ancestral Andean shaman. Includes transportation, preparation talk, ceremony with icaros (healing songs), and morning integration circle.
Two Ayahuasca ceremonies over two days, with daily meditation, group sharing circles, and extended integration support. Designed for those seeking deeper work than a single ceremony allows.
A daytime ceremony with San Pedro cactus — the heart-opening medicine of the Andes. Gentler than Ayahuasca, it unfolds over 8–12 hours in the Sacred Valley landscape with a Wachuma-trained Andean maestro.
The Despacho — an offering bundle prepared with gratitude and given to Mother Earth — is the cornerstone of Andean spiritual practice. Participate in a ceremony that has been performed in these mountains for centuries.
The sacred coca leaf — mama coca — is the primary tool of Andean divination and communication with the spirits. A coca leaf reading with our shamans reveals the energy around health, relationships, and life direction.
Unite in the most sacred landscape of the Inca world. Our Andean wedding ceremony honors Pachamama and the Apus, weaving ancient Quechua traditions into a ceremony your guests — and your hearts — will never forget.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas — Willka Mayu in Quechua, meaning “Sacred River” — stretches between Cusco and Machu Picchu at an altitude of 2,800 meters. The Inca chose this valley deliberately: its microclimate, water, and energy made it the ceremonial and agricultural center of their civilization.
The valley is ringed by named Apus: Salkantay, Ausangate, Pitusiray. In Andean cosmology these are living entities — present in ceremony, invoked by name, and felt by participants regardless of prior belief.
Working with Ayahuasca or San Pedro in the landscape where Andean shamanic tradition originated creates a different quality of experience. The medicine has been used in these mountains for over 1,000 years — the land holds that history.
Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moray, Sacsayhuamán, the Temple of the Moon — multi-day retreats include visits to these sites as part of the integration process. Ceremony and sacred site become one journey.
No other plant medicine destination in the world lets you combine a deep healing ceremony with a visit to one of Earth’s most extraordinary sacred sites. PumAdventures multi-day retreats include Machu Picchu as part of the spiritual journey.
In Andean tradition, the world is organized in three planes — Hanan Pacha (upper world), Kay Pacha (this world), and Ukhu Pacha (lower world) — represented by the condor, puma, and serpent. Ceremonies in the Sacred Valley work consciously with all three, guided by shamans trained in this cosmovision from childhood.
This is not a retreat concept imported to Peru. It is Peru’s own tradition, offered in its homeland by people who were born into it.
PumAdventures is based in Chinchero — a village at 3,762 meters, above Cusco and the Sacred Valley, where Quechua is the first language and the weaving tradition stretches back to Inca times. Master Puma Fredy Quispe Singona was born and grew up here. So did the ceremonies.
When you come to PumAdventures, you are not visiting a retreat center that relocated to the Sacred Valley. You are a guest in the place where this tradition lives.
From a single ceremony to a 14-day immersion, each program is led by the same family of shamans and designed around your level of experience and available time.
The full Sacred Valley spiritual experience: multiple Ayahuasca ceremonies, San Pedro, Pachamama offerings, Cusco sacred sites, and Machu Picchu — held together by experienced shamans and daily integration circles. For those ready to commit to a genuine transformation.

Contact us by WhatsApp, email, or the inquiry form. We discuss your intentions, experience, health history, and the time you have available. Together we choose the ceremonies and program that fit your needs. There is no pressure to book immediately.
Every participant completes a detailed health questionnaire. This step is non-negotiable and protects your safety. Certain medications (especially SSRIs) and medical conditions are contraindicated with plant medicine — we work with you to find the right path, or refer you to a more appropriate experience.
14 days before your retreat you receive the full dieta guide: dietary restrictions, supplements to avoid, mental and emotional practices, and how to set a clear intention. We are available to answer questions throughout your preparation period.
We arrange transportation from your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valley. You arrive at the ceremony space, meet the shaman and team, and receive a full orientation before the ceremony begins. Our facilitators are present throughout the night.
The ceremony unfolds over 4–6 hours, guided by icaros (healing songs) and the presence of experienced facilitators. The following morning begins with a group sharing circle where you can speak about what arose. This is where much of the integration begins.
The work does not end when you return home. We offer follow-up calls, journaling resources, and connection to our ongoing integration community. Many participants describe the weeks after their ceremony as among the most meaningful of their lives — we want to support that.
Puma Adventures created the most divine journeys of plant medicines, spiritual wisdom teachings, and sacred sites for our group. The Sacred Valley setting made everything magical — I felt held from the moment I arrived. Look forward to returning next year.
Wanting an experience that was more than walking through ancient ruins — the universe revealed Master Puma Fredy and his family. Edgar was our guide: attentive, knowledgeable, spiritual, with a wonderful sense of humor. Everyone welcomed us as family. A true gift.
A truly magical journey with Puma and his family, full of ancient wisdom, love, and generosity. All the trips were thoughtfully organized. I felt extremely supported and held during our plant ceremonies. Gracias for an amazing experience.
This trip with PumaAdventures exceeded our expectations in every way. Puma and his team took us on an amazing journey of ancestral knowledge, sacred sites, and spiritual guidance in a deep, meaningful way we could never have accomplished on our own.
Last year through Sacred Journeys we met Puma and his family of medicine teachers. Since then we’ve been studying with his school and decided to return this fall. The love, the intention, the teachings are incredible. I can’t recommend going on a trip with Puma Adventures strongly enough. Life-changing.
The depth of knowledge the team has about the sacred sites in Peru and the absolute care they take with each and every person to ensure a beautiful experience — truly unique and wonderful. I understood so much of Andean life. An experience of a lifetime.
PumAdventures was founded in Chinchero — a Quechua-speaking village at 3,762 meters above sea level, above Cusco and the Sacred Valley, known for its extraordinary Inca ruins and living weaving tradition. This is not a retreat center that chose an exotic location. This is a family business in its own community.
Ceremonies take place in a dedicated ceremonial space in Chinchero. Transportation from Cusco and the Sacred Valley is arranged as part of every retreat. Accommodation options in Cusco, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo are recommended and bookable through us.
